Investment casting (lost-wax casting) is a precision process used for complex metal parts that need to be formed as a single piece. Titanium investment casting is the industry-standard term — titanium cannot be die-cast, so this is the correct process for one-piece titanium parts.

This peg is cast as one piece. No welds. No bolted-on sections. No CNC-milled billet with material cut away. The open frame, the tooth profile, and the mounting points are all formed in a single casting, which means there are no weak joints to fail under load.

A CNC-milled billet peg starts as a solid block of titanium, and material is cut away until the shape is left. That works, but it wastes material and limits how complex the internal geometry can be.

An investment-cast peg is formed in a mold, so the internal structure can be designed for strength and weight without being limited by cutting tools. The result is a one-piece body with no welds or joints — and a clean, uniform structure throughout.

Anti-Slip Tooth Profile

The raised teeth on the platform bite into your boot sole for grip in mud, water, and loose terrain. The open frame design lets debris fall through instead of packing up under your boot.

Installation Notes

  1. Remove the stock footpeg pin and spring. Keep the spring and pin for reuse — these pegs mount using the stock hardware.

  2. Apply a small amount of nickel-based anti-seize to the pin before installation. Do not use copper-based anti-seize on titanium.

  3. Install the peg, slide the pin through, and secure with the stock cotter pin or clip.

  4. Check that the peg springs back freely before riding. Re-check pin security after the first ride.
