  2. Prep the Block: Thoroughly chase the cylinder head threads with an M8x1.25 thread tap/chaser and flush clean with brake cleaner. Remove all old crust, oil, and debris.
  3. Hand Tighten First: Always thread the studs into the block by hand until finger-tight. Never use an impact gun to install or spin titanium fasteners.
  4. Torque to Spec: Use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten down to your factory or manifold manufacturer's torque specifications.
  5. Heat Cycle Check: Re-torque the nuts after your engine's first complete heat cycle, and re-verify torque again after the first 50–100 km of driving.
